Meet the women who have taken charge of Hotel Interior Design.

Although on March 8th we celebrate the International Women’s Day, we must not only remember women on this day, but we must also keep in mind all of them during the remaining 364 days of the year, for their learning and skills. Today in Beltá Frajumar we make special emphasis on all women who have become a reference for their constant work and results achieved. Today we talk about eight women who through their good work have achieved success in the Hotel Interior Design sector despite some difficulties they have faced along the way.

MÓNICA FULLANA

Mónica Fullana leads, together with Antonio Albaladejo, the architecture and interior design studio Mönica Fullana 

Focused on solving functional problems with imaginative solutions and achieving through interior design that path to success. From their studio, they conceive, design and develop all kinds of projects. Private restoration projects, commercial, furniture, offices and above all contract work, such as the Hotel Ushüia Ibiza Beach the Hotel Hard Rock Tenerife or the  Marriot La Sella Golf Resort & SPA 5 de Denia among others.

MARTA FARRE

Marta Farre (in the photo above) together with Pepe Costa runs Farré & Costa, an interior design studio.

Their studio was created with the aim of providing the highest level of design adapted to each of their clients and for each of their projects.

The key to their success is due to their enthusiasm, passion and know-how.  Their professional experience of more than 15 years is backed by a large number of residential, hospitality and retail projects, that Beltá Frajumar has had the luxury of being able to participate in.

Some of her projects are: Grand Palladium Riviera Maya, Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & SpaHotel Hyatt Zilara  among others.

TERESA ENRIQUEZ AMO

Teresa began her career studying Finance, then focused on the area of Strategy and then at the School of Art Mateo Inurria, she began her studies in Interior Design, between 2008 and 2010. As well as her diversity of knowledge, she has extensive professional experience, but the most relevant in the area of Interior Design, is her experience in Pedro Peña Diseño Interior & Art Galery, her association COMAD Arquitectos as a decorator that she still maintains and above all the foundation and management of Elemento Creativo, a company focused on the realization of projects, Advice and Integral Solutions of Architecture where Teresa leads the Department of Management and Interior Design.

It is worth mentioning that she has been in charge of the interior design of hotels, private houses, flats and even hospitals, such as Reina Sofía, where she fitted out the rooms and common areas for hospital use and knew how to provide a quick solution in the middle of the pandemic.

Teresa Enriquez

BEATRIZ ENRIQUEZ AMO

Beatriz began her professional career with her studies in Architecture at the University Alfonso X El Sabio and once she finished she decided to start her project with the creation of the company COMAD Arquitectos. Beatriz is in charge of the management of the company and of each project. Thanks to her perseverance and dedication, she has created a team of 10 professionals.

In terms of projects, she works with both owners of public spaces and private homes.

Beatriz is the mother of two daughters, but her high level of organisation allows her to find a balance between work and professional life and to enjoy her family.

Beatriz Enrique

ESTELA BLAN MONTALBÁN

Estela Blan is the founder and CEO of Matescan Gestión Integral which offers 3D design, visual design, user experience design, architecture, landscape and interior design. She began her professional career with her studies of Technical Architecture at the University of La Laguna and continued acquiring knowledge of Building Engineering and Management and Strategies for Companies.

In terms of her professional experience, Estela has held different positions, from appraiser to CEO of her own company, through professor of Interior Design, director and manager of a construction company and real estate developer, director and manager of the hotel group Urvasco and director and manager of the Official Association of Technical Architects and Building Engineers of Huesca.

In relation to her professional projects, she has managed to make her company specialise in the integral management of Architecture, Engineering and Interior Design in Hotels, Restaurants, Leisure, Retail, Housing and Offices.

Estela

QUIRINA MORALES ROJAS

Quirina studied Architecture at the International University of Catalonia and later founded Quirina Morales Architecture & Interior Design STUDIO. With the aim of offering Building projects, projects aimed at Hotels and Tourist Complexes, Refurbishment and Rehabilitation projects, local Restoration projects, Interior Design and Decoration.

Within the area of Hotel Interior Design, she has collaborated in some projects such as the reform, interior design and decoration of the Hotel Suite fariones 4 *, in Lanzarote.

She has also won the Bienal of Canary island Competition, the Litoral de las Palmas de Gran Canaria Competition and the Gabinete Literario de las Palmas Exhibition Competition.

MARTA CENTENO GARCÍA

Marta studied Interior Design at the Pedro Almodovar School of Arts and currently collaborates with the Bernalte y León Architecture Studio, directed by José Luis León, her teacher and mentor. She also runs her own interior design studio called Marta Centeno interiorismo in Cádiz, where she carries out Interior Design and Decoration projects for both individuals and organisations. Thanks to her professional career in San Sebastian and Pamplona through the creation of residential and commercial projects, she has been able to create her own style where she always looks for everything to fit and nothing to overpower through functionality, balance and harmony.

LORETO SPÁ VÁZQUEZ

Loreto achieved the best qualifications as a Technical Architect and Senior Architect at the University of Granada and studied a Master’s Degree in Sustainable and Bioclimatic Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Subsequently, she began her professional experience and acquired further knowledge through the Senior Management Programme at San Telmo Business School and the Master’s Degree in Commercial and Retail Space Design at the Escuela Superior de Diseño de Barcelona. All this helped her to create her own company, Loreto Spá, focused on offering Architecture and Strategy services. She also shows her interest in spreading her knowledge in forums, congresses, articles, books, etc.

In relation to the projects offered by her studio, there is a great diversity because she offers projects of Housing, Reforms and Interior Design, Commercial and Retail Architecture, Restaurant and Hotel Architecture, Office Design, Bioclimatic Architecture and Energy Efficiency, Ephemeral Architecture, Integral Management of Works and Economic and Financial Feasibility Studies of Real Estate.

As we have been able to observe, success in any area such as in the field of Hotel Interior Design depends on continuous work, dedication and interest in acquiring constant knowledge that leads to the improvement of work. And for this reason, society must admire women like this one mentioned above, learn from them and minimise the barriers in the workplace that are imposed by those who believe that women and men cannot perform their work in the same way.
