InterCIDEC 2018 Awards Ceremony

InterCIDEC Hotel Interior Design Awards Ceremony at InteriHotel 2018

The InterCIDEC 2018 awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 24 October at the InteriHotel. After the presentation by Marisa Santamaria, the event began with a video explaining the InterCIDEC Competition.
This was followed by Francisco Juan Ortiz (CEO Beltá & Frajumar) who thanked sponsors, collaborators and of course participants for making this third edition a reality.

 

Honorary Award to the Palladium Hotel Group.

Then, the Honorary Award was presented to the Palladium Hotel Group, part of the Matutes group of companies, for its entire history. Carlos Bermúdez, Director of Purchasing of Hotel Works and Equipment, collected the award. He gave a talk on the Palladium Hotel Group. He presented his different hotel firms, requirements of a company like this, experiences and future projects. He highlighted the evolution of the chain in the last decade which places the user’s experience at its core.

The winning interior designers from InterCIDEC came to collect their prize.

After Carlos Bermúdez’s master class, the winners of the competition were announced. First Prize in the Professional Category for being a multipurpose solution for any place and shape, in which a system applicable to various lobbies is generated regardless of the user who lives in them was for David Puerta for the project #Sistmaleta. Carlos Bermudez, director of purchasing for the Palladium Hotel Group First Prize in the Student Category, for creating a functional space evoking the 5 senses from a single element containing various uses, went to Arlet Toral and Lorena Romero, for the project Senses Contained. The award was given by Raquel García, head of purchasing of the hotel chain HG. The first  Prize was awarded to Volteo Interiorismo for creating a differentiating concept in terms of aesthetics, based on a skin or membrane to cover the space, for the Membrana project. Ramon Gabarró, President of CENFIM, presented it.


Second Prize, for generating a sublime project through craftsmanship. Destined to a demanding market in search of exclusive experiences, it was for Estudio Pulpas for the Nídora project. Teresa Casas, dean of the CODIC (Association of Interior Designers and Decorators of Catalonia), was awarded the second prize. The third Acessit prize was awarded for a consistent urban and industrial design. It highlights the subtlety of the details such as retraction joints and minimalist style. For Dröm Living for the project Rum Urban Hotel. Delivered by Pablo Soler, manager of Grupo Maza. Special mention from the Jury, for creating a work that challenges nature and is designed to operate in an adverse and extreme location such as the desert. Mention for Lucía Llido for the Oasis project. Presented by Juan Matías, manager of Grupo Rama.
