The InterCIDEC International Interior Design Awards already have winners for their 6th Edition!
Last Thursday, November 4, the sixth Awards Ceremony of the International Contract Environment Design Competition, InterCIDEC 2021, took place at the emblematic Official College of Architects of Malaga. Authorities, sponsors, jury members, winners and numerous interior design and architecture professionals from the Costa del Sol gathered at this event. With this sixth edition, InterCIDEC has already established itself as a leading Corporate Social Responsibility platform. internationally in the Contract channel, whose purpose is to discover and professionally promote new talents in Interior Design, as well as help the hotel sector with new ideas and design proposals that cover and satisfy the needs of the market in accordance with the new trends in interior design.
Awards and honours
The InterCIDEC Awards recognize the quality and effort of works submitted anonymously and chosen by a professional jury made up of the most relevant international figures in interior design, architecture and the hotel sector.
First Prize “Vita” by Manuel Díaz
The InterCIDEC 2021 First Prize was awarded by the mayor of Yecla to the “Vita” project by Manuel Díaz Hernández. A project that expresses in a functional, aesthetic and graphic way how to develop a clear sequence of mixing functions in the same space. Spaces with their own criteria delimited by virtual barriers conceived by form, materials, light and function.
First Accesit “Respira” by Strada Interiors
First Accesit for the Respira project by Strada Interiors. The metaphor of this project was born from the need to search for green spaces during confinement: “trees in the lobby of a hotel.” The concept of multifunctionality plays an essential role in this project, clients choose what to do at any given moment. Project based on the use of sustainable materials that make up part of the furniture and interior architecture.
Second Accesit “Light Clouds” by Yaiza Pons and Germán Ribera
Second Accesit was for the Nubes Livianas project by Yaiza Pons Carmona and Germán Ribera Marín. The lobby of a hotel undergoes a metamorphosis; today it is an exhibition gallery, yesterday a conference room, who knows what form it will take in a few days? A project that aims to turn a fantasy into reality, proposing a design as changing as the clouds, in line with the rapid evolution of current needs.
Honorable Mention to Soho Boutique Hotels
The Honorable Mention was then presented to the hotel chain Soho Boutique Hotels. The award was collected by the company’s Marketing, Image and Communication director, Isabel Pons. It is a mention of her career in the tourism and hotel sector. These are hotels where the user will find a great team of professionals who will ensure a quality stay with the best of their smiles. They are hotels that offer travelers an exciting adventure through the charm of the known. Ideal hotels as a perfect starting point to live some magical days with a variety of locations, such as the hotels that the company has in the city of Malaga itself, without going any further. These are boutique hotels that are located in renovated old buildings and that fuse tradition with modern and functional decoration.
Attendees to the event
The event was attended by the mayor of Yecla, Remedios Lajara, along with members of her corporation, who was in charge of presenting the First Prize to the winner. The CEO of Beltá Frajumar himself, Francisco Juan, as well as sponsors: Verdú, Ilexpa, Atenzza, Sonae Arauco, Spradling, and winners, were present at this event. It was also attended by some members of the 2021 jury such as Mouna Nouidir, interior designer, or Paco Lago, founder and CEO of Paco Lago Interioriza, who offered an interesting presentation with her team. The event was also attended by Carmen Baeza Rodríguez, director of the College of Architects of Málaga.
