Original Design: Francisco Juan Martínez and Carmen Ortiz, 1967
Limited edition: 100 numbered and certified units.
Structure: High resistance iron tubular metal, in different finishes.
Internal structure made of solid pine wood, edged in the friction zone
to prolong the life of the suspension.
Seat and backrest: Seat and backrest foam in 30 kg /m3 soft,
covered with silicone fibre of 150gr.
Rocking: Integrated rocking system for a smooth movement.
Identification plate: Engraved numbering and certificate of authenticity.
First unit: Hand stitched by Carmen Ortiz

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Solid wood construction: clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or aggressive chemicals.
Upholstery: for technical fabrics and removable covers, machine wash at 30°C. For natural or special fabrics, professional cleaning is recommended. More details on the following link.
Cushions: turn, hollow out and smooth regularly to maintain the original volume and shape.
Avoid direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight to preserve colours and textures.

With a light and enveloping tubular structure, the Nº4 Balancín Armchair stands out for its fluid silhouette, capable of generating a gentle sway that invites you to rest. Its essential and timeless design, combined with a meticulous selection of materials and meticulous craftsmanship, make this reissue a tribute to the craftsmanship and legacy of its creators.

In this limited edition of 100 numbered and certified units, each armchair is much more than an object; it is a fragment of history, a symbol of Beltá Frajumar’s creative heritage and a tribute to the know-how that has been passed down from generation to generation.

As a nod to family tradition, the first unit has been hand-sewn by Carmen Ortiz, a gesture that unites past, present and future in a unique piece destined for lovers of design with soul.
