Meet the winners of the 2020 InterCIDEC Awards!
October! Time to close the 5th edition of the InterCIDEC interior design awards, InterCIDEC 2020, organized by Beltá & Frajumar, and this year with more than 50 proposals presented, from a dozen countries.
An edition focused this time on tourist apartments, increasingly in demand by users. And, as always, whose objective is to provide innovative proposals to the hotel and hospitality sector. Without forgetting the creation of synergies between designers and owners of hotels, tourist apartments and restaurants.
Pedro José Martínez Llanes, winner of InterCIDEC 2020
Through a video call, Pedro José Martínez Llanes, interior designer, yesterday became the winner of the International Design Contest of Contract InterCIDEC 2020 Environments. He did it with his proposal “ “IR HOUSE” for the interior design of a Sustainable Tourist Apartment.
A project that proposes the development of homes from recycled pallets. A product where disused wood is valued for the creation of new homes, carrying out a circular economy process.
Single-family homes with cross ventilation, with all the existing orientations to generate the lowest possible energy demand and make them a sustainable environment.
The InterCIDEC 2020 jury’s assessment
In the evaluation of the projects presented, the conceptual proposal has been rated; innovation in form, composition or materials; the aesthetic value from a point of view of harmony and distribution, and accessibility, among others.
Therefore, in addition to Pedro José Martínez Llanes, the jury has also awarded two second prizes: one to the proposal “HARMONIO_O” of José David López Gómez, and a second accession to “THE NEST” of María Beatriz Blanco.
Also, due to its differentiating nature and the potential shown, a Special Jury Mention has been awarded for the project: “OCÉANO” of Marina Gómez Benita.
A jury composed of Marc Rahola Matutes, president of the jury, Javier Fernández, head of purchasing at IKOS Hotels Andalucía; Jérôme Gateau, general manager of La Sella Golf & Resort, María José Gómez Martín, manager of GV Apartments Smart For Rentals, David García, project manager of the Ramón García Group; Vicente Gallega, from the Gallega Design studio; Francisco Pérez, manager of SUTEGA Integral Equipment, José Antonio Alonso, winner of the InterCIDEC 2019 edition and María Luisa Ruiz de Velasco, commercial director of the HEARST Publishing Group.
