…among them the Italian living in Madrid, Andrea Spada, co-founder of IlmioDesign; the galician Loli Moroño of PF1 Interiorismo, specialized in the Hospitaliy sector; the valencians Pepe Cosín, of Cosín Estudio, and David Puerta, founder of Viruta Lab, which was the winner of InterCIDEC 2018; the balearic interior designer Damián Pujol; or the architects and interior designers of Zaragoza, Carlos Beamonte and Ricardo Vallejo. On behalf of the hoteliers, Cary Rodríguez attended on behalf of Soho Boutique Hotels, while Cesáreo Martín He did the same as a journalist for international agencies and communications consultant. From the academic field, in addition to Pepe Cosín, who is Dean of the College of Interior Designers of the Valencian Community, was secretary of the jury, his manager Amparo Balbastre. Increase participation
The jury had to evaluate the quality of the 61 proposals presented, from twelve countries. The theme of this edition was design of the interior of a restaurant of less than 100 square metres a10, and in their assessment they scored the conceptual proposal; innovation in form, composition or materials; the aesthetic value from a point of view of harmony and layout; or accessibility for people with disabilities, amongst others.

The director of Beltá & Frajumar, Carlos Juan Ortiz, highlighted
“the consolidation of the competition due to the quality of the projects, the number of proposals received, which has increased by nearly 40% compared to the previous edition, and greater internationalization by receiving proposals from a dozen countries.”

The competition has as its objective showcase the talent that exists in interior design of interiors and allows to put in contact the creator, manufacturer and owner of hotel to establish synergies and collaborations.

The majority of the interior design projects presented in this in this fourth edition correspond to the category professional (with a single prize of €5,000) and, to a lesser extent, to the category of students (with a prize of €1,000).

In terms of the origin of the interior design projects, Spain leads the number of proposals submitted, followed by Mexico, Argentina, and countries in Europe such as France, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands. Some of them were presenting projects for the first time.
