Interior design for hotels: partner manufacturer for interior designers
Why work with a manufacturer who understands hotel interior design?
When an interior designer chooses us, they are not “subcontracting furniture”: they are adding a manufacturing and procurement team that speaks their project language, respects the concept and solves problems on site. We manufacture and coordinate all the furniture required for the project —headboards, sofas, armchairs, tables, carpentry, upholstery, decorative lighting, curtains and decoration— and, if necessary, we produce bespoke items or work with approved third parties to provide a complete solution.
Perceived luxury: scale, textures and warm lighting that draw the eye
There are principles that elevate any hotel from the very first minute. We see it every day in mock-ups and openings: scale rules. As our interior designer says: “Think big: a single piece dominates the scene and draws the eye.” An XL artwork or a mirror with character illuminated with accent lighting turns the lobby into a memorable focal point. Warm, spot lighting not only highlights textures; it raises the perceived value of the piece.
Floor-to-ceiling curtains are another shortcut to achieving a luxurious effect: they stylise the height, unify the vertical plane and add texture without visual noise. We prefer a double system (sheer + blackout) and tone-on-tone palettes in flowing linen and cotton, because they work just as well in an urban boutique as they do in a resort.
Guest experience: thoughtful amenities and sensory first impressions
Small rituals add significantly to RevPAR: curated trays with 3–5 useful items (candle, diffuser, notebook, complimentary water) and a prominent coffee/tea corner. The sensory welcome begins at the entrance: natural aroma, warm lighting with a touch of drama, and layers of texture (wood + marble + textiles). “First the sensory welcome; then everything else.”
XL vegetation in proportionate pots and hanging baskets that define areas create that blend of verticality and restraint that photographs beautifully. Result: more UGC, more intention to return.
Collaborative process between manufacturer and interior designer (from concept to opening)
Briefing, sampling and mock-up with spot lighting
We start with a technical briefing (areas, use, traffic, budget, deadlines) and a materials board. Within 48–72 hours, we usually prepare fabric and wood samples; we also have a 1,800 m² showroom for professionals, with ~200 pieces from Living & Contract. When the project requires it, we set up a room or lobby mock-up with art/mirrors and accent lighting to validate scale and finishes.
Technical planning: shop drawings, compatibility and regulations (EN/M1/IMO)
We produce shop drawings, FF&E lists, and compatibility matrices by area (rooms, F&B, lobby, back-of-house). We work with certified CMHR foams and fire-retardant fabrics (e.g., DIN 4102-1 B1), EN 1021-1/2 testing, EN 16139 resistance in seating, and VOC control in accordance with environmental policy. We are certified to ISO 9001:2015 (quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (environment), with foam and fabric flammability certificates available for download.
If the hotel is aiming for 3★/4★/5★, we assess the minimum requirements (surface areas, ventilation/air conditioning, public toilets, lifts by height, waste, etc.) and reflect this in plans and technical reports.
Value engineering without compromising design (materials, finishes and lead times)
Adjusting costs and deadlines without compromising the concept is part of the job. We propose equivalent alternatives (for example, B1 fabric with higher Martindale ratings or sustainable veneered board with FSC certification) and set realistic lead times for each product family:
-
Solid wood and upholstery: ~15 days (depending on batch and finish).
-
Stone and special elements: 45–60 days.
-
Customised contract: planned in batches and partial deliveries.
FF&E contract for hotels: what we manufacture and how we certify it
Custom-made furniture (rooms, lobby, F&B): strength and durability
Headboards with electrical/USB integration, hotel-grade bases and bed frames, armchairs and sofas EN 16139, restaurant tables with resistant tops, bars and host stands. Fine finishes (responsibly managed woods, natural veneers, water-based lacquers) and piece-by-piece quality control.
Textiles and curtains: blackout + sheer, fireproof, acoustic and maintenance
Blackout curtains combined with net curtains; fireproof upholstery (DIN 4102-1 B1, EN 1021-1/2), removable covers where appropriate and replacement programmes due to wear and tear. We advise on acoustic absorption with fabrics and textile panels.
Decorative lighting: warm temperatures and accents that enhance art and mirrors
Pendants and wall lights with warm temperature (hospitality) and high CRI to enhance materials. We integrate spot lighting for art and textured/aged mirrors: the piece becomes the centre of attention without dazzling.
