InterCIDEC 2016 International Design Competition for Contract Places

On Tuesday 20th September, the InterCIDEC 2016 awards ceremony took place at the Chamber of Commerce of the Region of Murcia. After starting off with an emotional thank you from the manager of the company Francisco Juan and the presentation of the explanatory video “InterCIDEC making off a dream”. Award-winning projects

 

 First Prize in the Professional Category for its revolutionary character with the pre-established canons, for researching changes in emerging social behaviour, changing the conventional hotel space and its form of consumption is awarded to Maza Lab Studio for the Itinerant Hotel project. The award was presented by Mr. Andrés Carrillo González, Minister of the Treasury and Public Administration.

 

First Prize, Student Category, for getting the distribution of a limited space to become a plus, giving personality to the project. For combining space and service offered, for its original and risky theme, Alejandro Sánchez for the Cápsula Restaurant project. The award was presented by Marcos Ortuño Soto Alcalde of Yecla.




First prize  for creating a space inspired by the philosophy of Mediterranean cuisine brought to a contemporary point. Harmonizing nature and architecture, projecting a rationally and cleanly ordered environment. Thought to let yourself go, enjoy the cuisine and get a unique experience, is for Gonzalo Terol for the project Author’s Restaurant. Javier Celdrán, Director of the Murcia Institute for Development, presented the second prize.

 

The second award was for generating an integrated proposal with its location, respecting the environment, its flora and fauna, making use of materials from the area to reduce the environmental impact of the project. Cristina Olivar and Katerine Salazar were awarded the second prize for creating a natural sanctuary with roots, for the project Greeing (Jorge Juan, who is not from Chile, collected the prize on his behalf). Pedro Garcia Balibrea, President of the Murcia Chamber of Commerce, presented the second prize.

 

Third prize for creating a stimulating and functional space. Dsignio was awarded for the project Le Grand Hotel, where the polyvalence of the developed space, the acoustic comfort and the interest in the sensations felt by the client stand out. (Dsignio is not present, it collects the award on his behalf Carlos Juan). The dean of the Colegio de Diseñadores de Interior y Decoradores de Murcia presented the second prize. Rosa Sánchez.



Before the award ceremony for her notable career as an architect, interior designer and designer. For her important influence on the history of the company Beltá & Frajumar. Author of such important pieces as the ONDA divan, which won the first prize at the Habitat Valencia Fair. Products of great personality and style that positioned him and the company in the national and international panorama of the most avant-garde design. Beltá & Frajumar had the honour of awarding the Honorary Mention to Mr. Diego Granese. Francisco Juan Martínez, the company’s founder, awarded the mention.



After the awards ceremony, the exhibition of the projects presented to the competition was held. Check the level of each of the proposals that had been previously evaluated by the prestigious jury. Everything was followed by a cocktail with traditional products from the city of Yecla
