InterCIDEC 2025: the jury has deliberated and the “Multipurpose Suite” sets the pace
What is InterCIDEC and why does it connect talent with industry?
At InterCIDEC, we have a very clear objective: to connect interior design professionals with real opportunities in the hotel sector. We do this with transparency: who we collaborate with, how we work, and why we trust those who trust us. In this 10th edition, the response from the community has been overwhelming, and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the participants.
InterCIDEC has established itself as a leading platform in the contract sector: a showcase for ideas, contacts and projects that are born to become reality in hotels and brands.
Competition status: registration closed and judging completed
Following the closing of registrations on 8 October, the jury met on Thursday 16 October to evaluate the finalist projects with professional rigour. Today, 24 October, we are at the “sweet spot” of communication: the verdict has been reached, but the winners will be announced on 30 October at the gala in Yecla. If you would like to cover the ceremony or coordinate interviews, now is the time to contact the team.

The 2025 theme: designing a flexible, human and sustainable suite
This year’s challenge was to conceptualise a “Multipurpose Suite”: a space capable of transforming itself —for rest, work or meetings— without sacrificing the comfort and premium character of a high-end hotel. In a tourism industry that demands flexibility, design and adaptability become strategic pillars.
In my case, I have seen proposals that anticipate guests’ needs and balance aesthetics with functionality, with material choices and technical solutions that are not only “seen” but also “used”. That is the difference between a brilliant rendering and a project that works in hotel operations.
Assessment criteria: actual feasibility, sustainability, and product
The jury worked using an objective procedure, scoring each project according to common criteria and automatically calculating averages. The following are particularly valued:
-
Actual feasibility (design, costs, manufacture and installation).
-
Sustainability (impact, maintenance, circular economy and local economy).
-
Integration of Frajumar products and/or sponsors.
To summarise the day: 12 international experts analysed 44 projects from 10 countries with aesthetic sensitivity and a focus on contract channel operations.
Participation figures and profiles of the international jury
This edition has brought together more than 40 proposals from Europe and America; in 2025, the total stands at 44 projects from 10 countries. The jury includes executives from hotel chains, interior designers and architects—with firms such as Accor, Catalonia, Sandals Resorts, Azora Capital, Studio HC, AZ Diseño, Sariva + Asociados and ID-Studio—and is chaired by Ana Ibáñez.

Next appointment…
InterCIDEC 2025 reaches its key moment: the jury has already deliberated and the sector looks to Yecla to discover the projects that will mark the next wave of hotel design. Beyond the winners, we are left with the essentials: viable, sustainable and ready-to-operate ideas. And with something that has defined us from the beginning: connecting people and opportunities.
