The InterCIDEC interior design awards already have a winner!
Last Thursday 4th November, the sixth Gala Awards Ceremony of the International Design Competition for Contract Environments, InterCIDEC 2021 took place at the emblematic Official College of Architects of Malaga.
The event was attended by authorities, sponsors, jury members, winners and numerous interior design and architecture professionals from the Costa del Sol.
InterCIDEC has already established itself as a platform for Corporate Social Responsibility of international reference in the Contract channel, whose purpose is to discover and professionally promote new talents in Interior Design, as well as to help the hotel sector with new ideas and design proposals that meet and satisfy the needs of the market according to the new trends in interior design.
Awards and Rcognition
The InterCIDEC Awards recognise the quality and effort of the works submitted, chosen by a professional jury made up of the most important international figures in interior design, architecture and the hotel sector.
First Prize for "Vita" project by Manuel Díaz
First Prize InterCIDEC 2021 for the VITA project by Manuel Díaz Hernández. A project that expresses in a functional, aesthetic and graphic way how to elaborate a clear sequence of mixed functions in the same space. Spaces with their own criteria delimited by virtual barriers conceived by form, materials, light and function.
First Accesit "Respira" by Strada Interiors
First Accesit for the RESPIRA project by Strada Interiors. The metaphor of this project was born from the need to find green spaces during confinement: “trees in a Hotel Lobby”. The concept of multifunctionality plays an essential role in this project, the clients choose what to do at any given moment. The project is based on the use of sustainable materials that integrate part of the furniture and the interior architecture.
Second Accesit "Nubes Livianas" by Yaiza Pons and Germán Ribera
Second Accesit for the NUBES LIVIANAS project by Yaiza Pons Carmona and Germán Ribera Marín. The lobby of a hotel undergoes a metamorphosis; What today it is an exhibition gallery, yesterday was a conference room, who knows what form it will take in a few days? A project that aims to turn a fantasy into reality, proposing a design as changeable as the clouds, in keeping with the rapid evolution of today’s needs.
Honourable Mention to Soho Boutique Hotels
The Honourable Mention was then awarded to the hotel chain Soho Boutique Hotels. The award was collected by the company’s Director of Marketing, Image and Communication, Isabel Pons. It is a mention to the trajectory in the tourism and hotel sector. These are hotels where the user will find a great team of professionals who will ensure a quality stay with the best of their smiles. Those hotels offer travellers an exciting adventure through the charm of the known. Hotels that are ideal as the perfect starting point to experience a few magical days with a diversity of locations, such as the hotels that the company has in the city of Malaga itself, without going further. These boutique hotels are located in refurbished old buildings and fuse tradition with modern and functional decoration.
