InterCIDEC Hotel Interior Design Awards Ceremony at InteriHotel 2018
The InterCIDEC 2018 awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 24 at 3:30 p.m., at InteriHotel. After starting with the presentation by Marisa Santamaria, the event began with a explanatory video of the InterCIDEC Contest.
Next, Francisco Juan Ortiz (CEO Beltá & Frajumar) gave way to thanking sponsors, collaborators and of course participants for making this third edition a reality.
HONORARY AWARD TO THE HOTEL CHAIN PALLADIUM HOTEL GROUP
Next, the Honorary Award was presented, for his entire career, to the hotel chain Palladium Hotel Group, from the Matutes group of companies. He collected the award Carlos Bermudez, Director of Purchasing of Construction and Hotel Equipment. Which offered a talk about Palladium Hotel Group. He made known his different hotel firms, requirements of a company like this, experiences and future projects. Highlighting the evolution of the chain in the last decade which places the user experience as the central axis.
INTERCIDEC’S WINNING INTERIOR DESIGNERS CAME TO COLLECT THEIR PRIZE
After Carlos Bermúdez’s master class, the winners of the contest were announced:
- First Prize Professional Category for being a multipurpose solution for any place and form, in which a system applicable to various lobbies is generated regardless of the user who inhabits them went to David Puerta for the #Sistmaleta project.

- First Prize in the Student Category, for creating a functional space evoking the 5 senses from a single element that contains various uses, went to Arlet Toral and Lorena Romero, for the project Senses Contained. Raquel García, purchasing manager of the HG hotel chain, presented the award.
- First Accesit, for creating a differentiating concept due to its aesthetics, based on a skin or membrane to cover the space, went to Volteo Interiorismo, for the Membrana project. Ramón Gabarró, President of CENFIM, presented it.
- Second Access, for generating a sublime project through craftsmanship. Aimed at a demanding market in search of exclusive experiences, it was for Pulpas Study for the Nídora project. Teresa Casas, dean of the CODIC (College of Interior Designers and Decorators of Catalonia) presented the second prize.
- Third Access for an urban, industrial and consistent design. It highlights the subtlety of details such as retraction joints and minimalist style. For Dröm Living for the Rum Urban Hotel project . Pablo Soler, manager of Grupo Maza, delivered it.
- for the Rum Urban Hotel project, for creating a work in which nature is challenged and designed to function in an adverse and extreme location such as the desert. Mention for Lucía Llido for the Oasis project. Mention for Lucía Llido for the Oasis project.
